If you’re passing though Glasgow around noon on Friday be sure to stop in to try another one of Diane’s famous treats – fried chicken. Light and crispy on the outside, tender and moist on the inside! That’s what happens when you take the time and pan fry chicken – just like grandma used to. Want to bring the kids? Great! With three children of her own – Mason, Benjamin and Anthony – Nikki appreciates the importance of family. We have a kids’ menu with Beckett’s favorites just the right size for them.

Our Proud History
Enormous Flavor since 1994
Owned and operated by Nikki Gouge, Beckett’s Restaurant was opened over Thanksgiving weekend in 1994 by Lonnie Beckett. Beckett’s Restaurant was originally established as a sports bar with a select menu, but while the selection was small, the flavor was enormous! Lonnie brought signature items to the menu that survive to this day and that many locals still can’t veer from. The 1/2 lb. charbroiled burger and the marinated chicken breast; the hamburgers and steaks made to temperature both tender and moist, bursting with flavor. Our house dressing – Beckett’s Homemade Creamy Garlic – an aromatic, explosive prelude of flavor for the meal that is about to arrive! Fresh cut french fries and perfectly marbled steaks that you can cut with a fork. You’re thinking, “how could you improve?”
Well it happened in the spring of 2007 that Lonnie’s daughter-in-law, Nikki, purchased the restaurant. After working for Lonnie for four years prior she felt ready to take the reins and add her own flair of flavor and atmosphere to the then 11-year old business. After an extensive renovation both inside and out, the sports bar was transformed into an elegant dinner house! Artwork by Jack Vettriano and Edward Hopper adorn the walls, a salvaged mantel from a local farm house accents the bar, and there are full tin ceilings throughout. Don’t worry, we left the big screen TVs for you sports fans so you can catch the game while you savor your steak and quench your thirst with your favorite ale. And that’s just the bricks and mortar!
Heart & Soul
The heart and soul of the restaurant is the element that makes this house a home. Nikki hand-picks her staff with a genuinely high standard. You can tell when you meet one of our “family” for the first time that they want to make sure that your experience with us is an enjoyable one.
With the improvements to the the building, Nikki also added some fresh flavors to the menu as well. Try the flavorful BLT salad paired with Beckett’s Homemade Creamy Garlic Dressing. Or perhaps a hand crafted margarita made with top-shelf tequila! Start off with Nikki’s signature chicken gizzards & livers! These tender treats are slow cooked in secret seasoning, breaded and flash fried to order. Enjoy these Beckett’s favorites as an appetizer or an entree, with made-from-scratch sweet honey jalapeno sauce and an ice cold bottle of beer! In the mood for a tenderloin? No problem, Jerri’s got you covered. Her heavily breaded, lightly seasoned breaded tenderloin sandwich will be sure to put a smile on your face! If you prefer it unbreaded, we can do that too.
Let’s talk about that sweet tooth. Everybody has room for dessert, so Nikki asked her mother to exercise her 40+ years of farm cookin’ experience to put together a dessert selection to rival the entrees. And she did it! Beckett’s Restaurant has a wide assortment of some of the richest and most decadent treats, including the dark chocolate cake, strawberry cake, carrot cake, and key lime pie made with lime juice straight from Key West Florida.
